2017-06-28 Our Final Zone Conference

Wednesday, June 28th, was our final zone conference.  All the missionaries in Manila came together to her the last words of counsel and encouragement from President and Sister Ostler and Caleb.  It was an amazing spiritual time together.  It was highlighted by the testimonies of many missionaries who will also be completing their missions and returning home.

It was also President Ostler's birthday, so we celebrated by having cake!  It was a great day to celebrate President's birthday as well as remember all the great mercies of the Lord over the past three years! Sorry I didn't get more pictures!

This painting was painted by a wonderful artist who was able to take a picture I imagined in my head and make it real.  It represents how President Ostler and I have felt as we have served this mission.  What we have offered to our Savior is so little and so inadequate compared to the needs of our missionaries and the wonderful people in the Philippines, but it is all we had to give.  Looking at His hands, which still show the marks of His sacrifice for us, our sacrifice seems so small. Oh, how we wish we could have given more!  Yet the beauty of this picture and the beauty of our Savior is that He takes what we offer and He makes it ENOUGH.  We will be eternally grateful for the opportunity He gave us to learn this lesson.  He is SO full of Goodness and Grace. Oh, how we love Him!
