Dear Elders and Sisters,
General Conference is a unique blessing that comes with being a member of the Lord's Church. We have the opportunity to be taught by the Lord's leaders on earth. The contents of this week's conference should be our "walk and talk" over the coming months. Please use the truths taught in General Conference to strengthen less active members and to help your investigators learn the gospel.
Each of you will have the opportunity to watch conference this coming weekend and to read the talks when they appear in the Liahona magazine. Here are a couple of highlights to whet your appetite...
"...if you feel small and weak, please simply come unto Christ, who makes weak things strong. The weakest among us, through God's grace, can become spiritually strong, because God is no respecter of persons..." President Dieter F. Uchtdorf
"In our daily lives, endless reports of criminal violence, famine, wars, corruption, terrorism, declining values, disease, and destructive forces of nature can engender fear and apprehension. Surely we live in the season foretold by the Lord, 'and in that day...the whole earth shall be in commotion, and men's hearts shall fail them.' Correct knowledge of, and faith in, the Lord empower us to hush our fears because Jesus Christ is the only source of enduring peace."
"Such faith and hope invite into our lives the sweet peace of conscience for which we all yearn. The power of the Atonement makes repentance possible and quells the despair caused by sin; it also strengthens us to see, do, and become good in ways that we could never recognize or accomplish with our limited mortal capacity...Look to Christ, build upon the foundation of Christ, and press forward with faith in Christ." Elder David A. Bednar
The truths taught in General Conference have been a huge blessing for the Ostler family over the years. We have watched or listened to every session of conference together for the past 36 years and we have used the teachings of our inspired leaders guide us in our callings, our decisions and in how to raise our children. Make them a part of your life now and in the future. The Lord will bless you.
With love,
President Ostler

We had interviews and MLC this week. What a wonderful opportunity to be in the presence and interact with such wonderful missionaries!
Elder Stratton wanted to make sure his mom saw him. Hi Mom!
All of our missionaries participated in the "Because He Lives" campaign. One creative way was encouraging members to take pictures with these "He is Here" signs and post them on facebook or other social media accounts with the hash tag.
Sister missionaries carry with them such a spirit of love and enthusiasm!
It's amazing how they learn to truly love each other.
Some of our very best!
Sister Training Leaders add such a wonderful dimension to the mission!
Where else but in the church do we see people so diverse get along so well?
Picture taking is frequent whenever missionaries or members get together.
A group of our missionaries will be going home soon, so everyone wanted pictures this time.
Faithful to the end.
Using all of our talents...
Our wonderful zone leaders and sister training leaders.
These are the missionaries who lead the mission...by precept and by example.
