2016-06-18 President's Message

Dear Sisters and Elders,

We are so much looking forward to our upcoming zone conferences! This is a time for us to spiritually (and physically) nourished. It is a time to celebrate the wonderful work the Lord is doing through you and it is a time to receive direction and motivation for the future.

As I have been preparing for our conferences I was impressed by some of Moroni's final words in Moroni 10:31:

"And awake, and arise from the dust, O [missionaries]; yea, and put on thy beautiful garments (your covenants); and strengthen thy stakes and enlarge thy borders forever, that thou mayest no more be confounded, that the covenants of the Eternal Father which he hath made unto thee, O house of Israel [and missionaries], may be fulfilled."
Zone conference will be a time of personal revelation and strengthening IF you prepare well. Here are your assignments:

1. Read and study John chapter 15. Come prepared to share your insights.

2. Bring your three planning sheets: "Conversion Indicators-18 Week Plan", "Baptism Planning Worksheet". "New and Returning Member Progress" Make sure that they are filled out completely and up to date.

3. Elders AND Sisters: Memorize hymn#324: "Rise Up O Men of God." I will call up several elders and sisters in each zone conference to sing this for us.

4. On your way to zone conference, invite at least 3 people to learn about the gospel. Be prepared to share your experience.

You need to be in your seats, quietly listening to the prelude music, by 8.20AM. We will shake hands with everyone at 8.50 and start at 9.00AM.

For those attending on the mainland, normal traffic conditions mean that you need to plan on arriving by 7.30AM. In Puerto Princesa you should plan on arriving by 8.00AM. Make sure that you eat breakfast before the meeting.

All supplies need to be ordered in advance through your zone leaders. The mission office will not be open for supplies after zone conference.

May the Lord bless you and strengthen you as you faithfully do His work.

Mahal ko po kayo,

President Creg Ostler
