Dear Sisters and Elders,
This is a wonderful time of year! This is the time of year when we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It is the sweetest and most special time to be a full time missionary, representing the Savior of the world. I am thankful that we are blessed to serve together.
This week in zone meeting, the zone leaders and sister training leaders will be inviting you to participate in a very exciting goal. They will also be inviting you to Pay the Price for the Lord to do miracles through you. This will include the price of obedience and the price of having a special mission fast next Sunday.
This will be a Christmas that will change the lives of many, many people in the mission. I know that we can do this together.
Thanks to the many of you who have memorized the Mission Vision. I also ask and invite you to put a copy of the Mission Vision on the wall in every apartment and for every missionary to memorize the vision. We have made a small change to the vision so that it includes the sentence: "We will work closely with our local leaders and members."
Here is the Mission Vision:
"We will help bring Heavenly Father's children back to Him by having every companionship in the mission complete one "Conversion Indicator" every week. These conversion indicators are Baptism, Full Activity in the Church, Temple Preparation and Temple Ordinances. We will do this by focusing on the Atonement of Jesus Christ, being exactly obedient and being completely humble. We will work closely with our local leaders and members. We will plan effectively, use our time wisely and invite for baptism in every lesson."
In addition to memorizing the vision, as you plan each week and each day, use your planning sheets and your white board to make specific plans to accomplish it.
Remember the promise of the Lord to missionaries in 1 Nephi 13:37:
"And blessed are they who shall seek to bring forth my Zion at that day, for they shall have the gift and the power of the Holy Ghost; and if they endure unto the end they shall be lifted up at the last day, and shall be saved in the everlasting kingdom of the Lamb; and whoso shall publish peace, yea, tidings of great joy, how beautiful upon the mountains shall they be."
